PCDSA Unveils New Logo

Out with the old, in with the new. Since 1997, PCDSA has operated with the same, tired design. It’s time to start a new chapter as we step into the next 25 years.

01/01/23 – In August 1997, a few young guns got together with a plan to create an association that could advocate for deputies in a way no other group was doing. At the time, our founding members had no clue they would one day build the largest department association, they simply wanted to be in a group that had the leadership, knowledge, experience, and passion to help out fellow department members. While they had the traits necessary to succeed, one thing they didn’t have……. was photoshop.

PCDSA logos through the years

For the last 26 years, our logo has seen some incremental changes, but nothing evolutionary. That changes this year. As we move towards being a more professional association, we thought it would be a great time to introduce a new design. You might have seen these updates pushing out little by little over the last several weeks, but today we’re making it official, and we’re proud to show you what we’ve been working on. Unlike previous PCDSA administrations, we didn’t want to just throw our acronym into the outline for Arizona, add a flag, and call it a day. Honestly, you can only do that so many times. After nearly a quarter century in operation, our association has weathered many storms, fought tough battles, and despite this, continues to flourish. We wanted a symbol that acknowledges that history but also looks clean and ready for the battles to come. We hope this new logo can usher us into the next 25 years of professional representation for professionals, just as our founding members envisioned.
